Exercise and Training Habits
Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied Vital Habits — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
Located at 1117 Toorak Road, Camberwell — a premium address in one of Melbourne's most affluent eastern suburbs, positioning the personal training studio within walking distance of a high-income demographic
The existing website (vitalhabits.com.au) is built on Microweber with a broken premium template — the About and Services pages return 404 errors, meaning potential clients currently hit dead ends when trying to learn about the business
Offers only two services — personal training (1-on-1) and semi-private training — a deliberately narrow focus on individualised programming rather than the group class model used by most fitness businesses
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
A 9-component, 6-page site that expands the two-service offering into distinct pages for personal training, group classes, and wellness — giving structure to a business whose current website is functionally broken. The bespoke HabitBuilder interactive component ties directly to the brand name, while the counter and accordion components help communicate value without the extensive copy the current site lacks.
Design Rationale
Vital Habits' current Microweber site has broken pages and minimal copy — potential clients in affluent Camberwell are hitting 404 errors instead of seeing services. The redesign creates the professional, complete experience that a Toorak Road address demands, with separate pages that turn two terse service descriptions into compelling, detailed offerings. The wellness page extends the brand's health positioning beyond just exercise.
Build Phase
Site Architecture
// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped Vital Habits's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for Vital Habits. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 9 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research checked 7 sources with the existing website (vitalhabits.com.au) providing the primary data — though critically, the About and Services pages returned 404 errors, limiting available information. Instagram and Facebook were confirmed but inaccessible behind login walls. Brave Search API was exhausted. No reviews, pricing, or hours could be found from any source. Data completeness rated low.

More from the experiment
This case study is part of the AI Web Lab — a 30-day experiment where AI agents build bespoke websites for real Melbourne businesses. Every site is researched, designed, and built from scratch by a team of five specialist AI agents. The full methodology, code, and results are documented transparently.
This study is being prepared for publication as part of a research paper on AI-assisted web development at scale.
