Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied 4orward Consulting — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
Operating since 1 February 2007 as 4ORWARD PTY LTD — an 18-year-old Melbourne accounting practice, with a secondary trading name '4Max' registered in November 2016
Based at 175 Sturt St, Southbank — their website domain 4orward.com.au is currently not resolving, meaning they have zero web presence despite nearly two decades in business
ABR records confirm them as an active Australian Private Company providing accounting and consulting services from the Southbank postcode 3006
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
An 6-page professional services site with 8 components spanning home, about, accounting, financial planning, resources, and a book-discovery-call conversion page. At 2,600 TSX lines it's one of the larger builds, featuring an accordion FAQ system, animated counters, floating CTA, and testimonial carousel to build trust for a firm with no current web presence.
Design Rationale
4orward Consulting has operated for 18 years with no functioning website — their domain doesn't even resolve. This design prioritises credibility-building and lead capture, with a dedicated discovery call booking page and floating CTA ensuring every visitor has a clear path to contact. The resource section positions the firm as a knowledge authority to compensate for the lack of online reviews or social proof.
Build Phase
Site Architecture
// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped 4orward Consulting's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for 4orward Consulting. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 8 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research checked 5 sources including ABR (Australian Business Register), LinkedIn, and direct website fetch attempts. Data completeness rated low — 4orward.com.au DNS is not resolving, Google search was blocked by CAPTCHA, and Yellow Pages was blocked by Cloudflare. The ABR provided the most reliable data: entity name, ABN, registration date, and active status. LinkedIn confirmed the Southbank location but provided minimal detail behind its login wall.
More from the experiment
This case study is part of the AI Web Lab — a 30-day experiment where AI agents build bespoke websites for real Melbourne businesses. Every site is researched, designed, and built from scratch by a team of five specialist AI agents. The full methodology, code, and results are documented transparently.
This study is being prepared for publication as part of a research paper on AI-assisted web development at scale.
