🏢 Core Repairs · Thomastown, Melbourne
Melbourne's leading auto and smash repairers
Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied Thomastown Bodyworks — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
Family-run smash repairer with 40+ years of industry experience, led by owner Mark — their standout positioning is insurance claim advocacy, actively encouraging customers to 'call us BEFORE your insurer' to ensure they get everything they're entitled to
Offers 13 services spanning core collision repair through to specialty work including classic car restoration, alloy wheel refurbishment, leather and interior repairs, and windscreen replacement — plus loan cars and fleet account management for business clients
All repairs are backed by a platinum lifetime warranty — an unusually strong guarantee for the panel beating industry — with the business located at 9/44 Mahoneys Road, Thomastown, reachable via both landline (03 9462 5629) and mobile (0407 813 290)
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
A 6-page site with 9 components featuring a bespoke RepairTimeline interactive element that walks customers through the collision repair process from assessment to completion. Pages are structured around collision repair, paintwork, and fleet services, with a dedicated contact page. The design uses 1,663 lines of TSX with Accordion, Counter, Marquee, and TestimonialCarousel components.
Design Rationale
After a car accident, customers are stressed and unfamiliar with the repair process — Thomastown Bodyworks' key message is 'call us before your insurer' because they'll advocate for you. The RepairTimeline component addresses this anxiety by making the repair journey transparent and predictable. The separate Fleet page targets commercial clients with loan car and account management messaging, while the Collision Repair and Paintwork pages cover the core consumer services. The platinum lifetime warranty is a trust signal the design makes unmissable.
Build Phase
Site Architecture
// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped Thomastown Bodyworks's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for Thomastown Bodyworks. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 9 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research covered 6 sources including the official website (thomastownbodyworks.com.au) across homepage, services, and about pages. Data completeness rated medium — hours were not found on the website or any accessible source, Google rating and reviews couldn't be extracted due to search API limits, and Facebook content wasn't scrapeable. The full 13-service list, loan car offering, fleet accounts, and platinum lifetime warranty details were all confirmed from the website.
