Delivering Electrical Services in Australia and New Zealand Through Valued Partnerships
Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied QA Electrical — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
Founded in 2007 and grown to 51–200 employees with 1,512 LinkedIn followers — QA Electrical operates from North Geelong headquarters at 111-115 Douro Street with multiple offices across Australia, holding ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 certifications
Service scope spans commercial electrical, industrial process automation (PLC, SCADA, HMI programming), structured data and fibre optic cabling, and commercial EV charging systems — with 24-hour emergency call-out capability across all sectors
Active in community initiatives including Share The Dignity and Helping Hands Mission projects, and recognised with a 2025 Medium to Large Business Award — with 268 Facebook likes and a 4.8 Google rating from 10 reviews
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
A 6-page site featuring a Project Fit Checker interactive tool, dedicated commercial, residential, and data/comms service pages, plus about and contact sections. The layout uses counter animations, a marquee ticker, image gallery, and testimonial carousel to convey the scale and capability of a national electrical services operation.
Design Rationale
QA Electrical's existing website already establishes their credentials — this demo reimagines the experience with a Project Fit Checker that helps prospective clients quickly determine if QA's capabilities match their project scope. The multi-page service structure mirrors their actual business divisions (commercial, data/comms, residential) while the ISO certification badges and counter animations communicate the scale that differentiates them from smaller electrical contractors.
Build Phase
Site Architecture
// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped QA Electrical's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for QA Electrical. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 9 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research drew from 11 sources including the official QA Electrical website (6 pages scraped), LinkedIn company profile (employee count, founding year, specialties, community involvement), Solar Choice installer profile, TradiesNearYou directory, Mappaus listing, and DuckDuckGo SERP results. Data completeness was medium — Brave Search API was exhausted so browser-based research was used. Facebook page content and Yelp were blocked by anti-bot protections. ISO certifications were confirmed from website footer logos.

More from the experiment
This case study is part of the AI Web Lab — a 30-day experiment where AI agents build bespoke websites for real Melbourne businesses. Every site is researched, designed, and built from scratch by a team of five specialist AI agents. The full methodology, code, and results are documented transparently.
This study is being prepared for publication as part of a research paper on AI-assisted web development at scale.
