🏢 Individual Therapy · South Yarra, Melbourne
South Yarra · Local Business
Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied Linda Midalia Psychology — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
Over 30 years of experience as a psychologist and a long-standing member of the Australian Psychological Society, with qualifications including an M.A. and B.Ed.
Practises from 29 Cliff Street in South Yarra (postcode 3141) — one of Melbourne's most prestigious inner-city suburbs, positioning the practice in a high-trust professional precinct
Works across an unusually broad spectrum for a solo practitioner — individuals, couples, families, adolescents, adults, and organisations — covering issues from self-esteem and assertiveness to depression, anxiety, and grief
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
A 6-page site structured around about, approach, services, specialisations, and contact pages, with a SessionReadinessGuide as the bespoke interactive component. Built with 9 components across 1,875 lines of TSX, the design uses a calm, professional palette with Framer Motion for subtle transitions appropriate to a therapy context.
Design Rationale
Linda's former website (lindamidaliapsychology.com.au) is no longer resolving, leaving a 30-year practice with no web presence. The design prioritises warmth and accessibility — critical for a psychology practice where potential clients may be anxious about reaching out. The SessionReadinessGuide helps first-time therapy clients prepare, reducing the barrier to booking while reflecting Linda's compassionate, experienced approach.
Build Phase
Site Architecture
// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped Linda Midalia Psychology's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for Linda Midalia Psychology. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 9 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research checked 6 sources but was constrained by search API quota exhaustion and browser unavailability. Data was sourced primarily from Yahoo search directory snippets. The official website (lindamidaliapsychology.com.au) was found listed in directories but DNS no longer resolves. No Google reviews were accessible and no social media profiles were found. Data completeness rated low — a notable research finding was that this established 30-year practice has effectively lost its entire web presence.
More from the experiment
This case study is part of the AI Web Lab — a 30-day experiment where AI agents build bespoke websites for real Melbourne businesses. Every site is researched, designed, and built from scratch by a team of five specialist AI agents. The full methodology, code, and results are documented transparently.
This study is being prepared for publication as part of a research paper on AI-assisted web development at scale.
