Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied L.J. Begg Electrical — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
Founded in 2019 by Liam Begg, but his electrical career stretches back to 2006 with full qualification by 2010 — nearly 20 years of hands-on experience before and after launching the business
Covers an unusually broad service territory spanning Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, and the Surf Coast, with experience across homes, schools, hospitals, factories, and commercial facilities
The team includes A-grade and licensed electricians plus apprentices, with the business emphasising compliance credentials including safety switch installation and testing as a core offering
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
A 6-page site built around service-specific pages for residential, commercial, and safety work, reflecting the business's dual residential/commercial positioning. Components include a ChecklistGenerator for electrical safety, a TestimonialCarousel, and animated counters — 9 components across 1,949 lines of TSX with Framer Motion animations throughout.
Design Rationale
Liam's brand voice is friendly and local ('G'Day! I'm Liam') but safety-focused, so the design pairs approachable visuals with professional trust signals. The dedicated safety page and ChecklistGenerator component address the compliance-heavy nature of electrical work, while separate residential and commercial pages let each audience find relevant services without cross-navigation friction.
Build Phase

// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped L.J. Begg Electrical's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for L.J. Begg Electrical. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 9 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research drew from 9 sources including the official website (ljbeggelectrical.com.au), individual service pages for lighting, safety switches, power points, and office fitouts, plus the about page detailing Liam's background. Brave Search API quota was exhausted mid-research, so discovery relied on direct site scraping and Bing browser snapshots. Data completeness rated medium — Google rating and full opening hours could not be independently verified.
