🏢 Water Management · Geelong, Melbourne
Creating eco-friendly gardens that grow both food and community.
Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied Intuitive Garden Design & Maintenance — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
Founded by Shaun McLeod, a former plumber who pivoted to garden design after completing a shamanic permaculture course in Peru — an origin story that genuinely differentiates the business in the Geelong landscaping market
Offers a distinctive permaculture-first service mix combining foodscaping, rain harvesting systems, irrigation solutions, and organic waste management — positioning as a regenerative design specialist rather than a conventional landscaper
Serves the Greater Geelong area with a stated mission to 'grow both food and community' — explicitly tying garden design to sustainability outcomes and local food production
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
A 6-page site with 9 components split across design, edible gardens, and maintenance service pages. The bespoke Edible Garden Planner interactive component helps homeowners plan productive food gardens. The image gallery showcases completed garden transformations, while the accordion organises the 6 core service categories.
Design Rationale
Intuitive Garden Design's permaculture philosophy needed a design that communicated sustainability without feeling niche or inaccessible. The dedicated edible gardens page highlights what most distinguishes the business, while the Edible Garden Planner makes the permaculture approach tangible and interactive — turning philosophy into a practical planning tool.
Build Phase
Site Architecture
// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped Intuitive Garden Design & Maintenance's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for Intuitive Garden Design & Maintenance. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 9 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research covered 11 sources including the official website (intuitivegardendesign.com.au) across home, about, service, and contact pages. The founder's Peru permaculture course and plumbing background were verified from the about page. Brave Search API quota was exceeded and Facebook content was partially inaccessible. No Google Business rating, hours, or pricing were found. Data completeness rated medium.
