Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied Emergency Pest Controller — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
Perfect 5.0 stars from 40 Google reviews for a pest control service operating 24/7 across Melbourne and Geelong — the business runs from Norlane (VIC 3214) but positions its service area across the entire greater Melbourne region.
Their operational model emphasises root-cause investigation rather than surface treatment — website copy specifically states they 'do more than spray' by investigating causes, applying treatment, then implementing follow-up prevention measures.
Covers 7 distinct pest categories from termite treatment and rodent control to wasp and bee removal, with eco-friendly and pet-safe treatment language throughout — framing pest control as an environmental responsibility rather than just extermination.
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
A 6-page site with 9 components including a bespoke ETA Checker interactive tool, accordion FAQs, and testimonial carousel. The structure splits services across dedicated rodents, termites, and wasps/bees pages alongside home, about, and contact — built with 2,161 lines of custom TSX and urgent, action-oriented layout decisions.
Design Rationale
Pest emergencies are time-sensitive — people searching at 2am for 'emergency pest control' need instant reassurance and fast contact. The ETA Checker directly serves this urgency by giving visitors an immediate response estimate, while the floating CTA ensures the phone number is always one tap away. The 24/7 availability and satisfaction guarantee messaging are architecturally embedded, not buried in copy.
Build Phase
Site Architecture
// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped Emergency Pest Controller's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for Emergency Pest Controller. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 9 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research covered 8 sources including the official Emergency Pest Controller website (homepage, contact, service pages, and Geelong landing page), Google Maps business profile, and Facebook presence. Data completeness was medium — strong coverage on services and contact details, but no verified founding year or published pricing was found. Google rating of 5.0 from 40 reviews was confirmed via Google Maps listing.
