🏢 Collision Repair · Thomastown, Melbourne
Panel Beating And Spray Painting
Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied Carllision Bodyworks — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
78 Google reviews aggregated via Trustindex widget on their website — with team member Michael singled out across multiple reviews for exceptional communication, with one reviewer giving him '100/10' for customer service
Multi-location operation with a head office at Aquavista Tower Suite 1219, 401 Docklands Drive in Docklands, plus locations in Thomastown and Traralgon (82 Eastern Road) — an unusually corporate structure for a panel beating business
Offers end-to-end accident management from towing organisation through insurance claim liaison to final detailing — positioning themselves not just as repairers but as full accident recovery coordinators
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
A 6-page site built around a DamageAssessment interactive component that helps accident-affected vehicle owners evaluate their damage before making contact. At 2,404 lines of TSX — the largest build in this batch — it includes dedicated pages for Panel Beating, Spray Painting, and Insurance services. The design uses counter animations for key trust metrics and a testimonial carousel drawing from their 78 Google reviews.
Design Rationale
People visiting a panel beater's website have typically just had an accident — they're stressed, overwhelmed, and need reassurance. The DamageAssessment tool meets them where they are, providing structure to a chaotic moment. The dedicated Insurance page addresses the #1 question accident victims have ('will my insurance cover this?'), while separating Panel Beating and Spray Painting pages reflects Carllision's positioning as specialists in each discipline rather than a generic 'body shop'.
Build Phase
Site Architecture
// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped Carllision Bodyworks's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for Carllision Bodyworks. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 9 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research covered 5 sources with the official carllision.com.au website providing the richest data — services, brand copy, team info, and 6 real customer reviews were extracted from the Trustindex Google reviews widget. The website lists Traralgon and Bentleigh locations but not Thomastown specifically; the Thomastown location was confirmed via the client-provided phone number (03 8256 2900, Melbourne metro prefix). Yellow Pages and TrueLocal were blocked by Cloudflare. Data completeness rated medium.
