🏢 Tax · Port Melbourne, Melbourne
Tax and Superannuation advice
Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied Boyd Legg & Co — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
Established in 1985 — nearly 40 years operating from Level 1, 306 Bay Street in Port Melbourne, serving clients ranging from individuals to multi-million dollar businesses across diverse industries
Hold specialist SMSF (Self-Managed Super Fund) auditor credentials on top of Chartered Accountant qualifications — a dual specialisation listed on the accountantfirms.com.au directory
Their current website is essentially a single-page site with minimal content — despite 40 years in business, their digital presence doesn't reflect their established reputation or service depth
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
A 6-page professional site structured around service pillars: Tax Advice, Superannuation, Business Solutions, and a dedicated Book Tax Review page. Built with 2,329 lines of TSX using accordion components for service details, animated counters for experience milestones, and a testimonial carousel. The design uses an editorial, premium aesthetic befitting a chartered accounting firm.
Design Rationale
Boyd Legg & Co positions themselves as a premium provider with nearly four decades of experience, yet their existing website is a bare single-pager that undersells their depth. The redesign expands their service offering across dedicated pages, giving each specialisation (tax, super, SMSF, business advisory) room to demonstrate expertise. The Book Tax Review page creates a clear conversion path that their current site lacks entirely.
Build Phase
Site Architecture
// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped Boyd Legg & Co's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for Boyd Legg & Co. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 8 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research covered 5 sources including the official Boyd Legg & Co website, its About page, and the accountantfirms.com.au directory listing. The existing website is a minimal single-page with limited content. No reviews were found on any platform. Brave Search API was exhausted; Yellow Pages and TrueLocal were blocked by Cloudflare. Principal identified as Mark Sabbadini from website. Data completeness rated low.
