Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied ASG Accounting Solutions — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
Research encountered a complete data wall — all 8 fetch attempts failed due to API exhaustion, DNS errors, CAPTCHAs, and Cloudflare blocks, making this the lowest-data study in the batch with no verified business details beyond the name and Port Melbourne location
No official website could be confirmed (asgaccounting.com.au returned fetch errors, asgaccountingsolutions.com.au and asgas.com.au both had DNS failures) — suggesting either a very new digital presence, a recently lapsed domain, or a business operating entirely offline
Located in Port Melbourne (VIC 3207) based on provided coordinates, operating in the accounting and tax space — the demo site was built with industry-standard service assumptions due to the absence of confirmed business-specific data
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
A 6-page site with pages for services, industries, and resources, featuring 9 components including a bespoke Tax Calendar with real ATO lodgement dates. The structure follows accounting industry best practices with a resources section that adds genuine utility for prospective clients checking compliance deadlines.
Design Rationale
With no existing website or verifiable online presence, the design needed to establish credibility from zero. The Tax Calendar component adds immediate practical value — a visitor checking BAS due dates gets usefulness before even making contact. The industries page segments client types, helping prospects self-identify rather than wading through generic service lists.
Build Phase
Site Architecture
// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped ASG Accounting Solutions's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for ASG Accounting Solutions. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 9 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research attempted 8 sources but all failed — official website URLs returned fetch errors or DNS failures, Google and Bing searches were CAPTCHA-blocked, Yellow Pages and TrueLocal were Cloudflare-blocked, and LinkedIn/Facebook returned 404/400 errors. Data completeness was low. The Port Melbourne location was the only confirmed data point from provided coordinates. This study represents a worst-case research scenario where the demo was built on industry knowledge rather than business-specific data.
More from the experiment
This case study is part of the AI Web Lab — a 30-day experiment where AI agents build bespoke websites for real Melbourne businesses. Every site is researched, designed, and built from scratch by a team of five specialist AI agents. The full methodology, code, and results are documented transparently.
This study is being prepared for publication as part of a research paper on AI-assisted web development at scale.
