Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied YK Hair & Beauty — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
YK Hair & Beauty has a confirmed existing website (ykhairandbeauty.com.au) identifying Yasmin K. as the stylist — specialising in bridal hair and event hair + makeup across Australia and destination weddings, positioning this as more than a suburban salon
Based in Bacchus Marsh (VIC 3340), a rapidly growing outer-suburban town ~55km northwest of Melbourne CBD with a population of 20,000+ — a market where bridal specialists are scarce compared to inner-city options
Despite having a website and clear bridal specialisation, YK Hair & Beauty has zero presence on Yelp, Google Maps listings, TrueLocal, or any major directory — an extreme digital visibility gap for a business that services destination weddings
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
A 6-page site structured around the bridal journey, with a dedicated Bridal Services page and a Portfolio gallery to showcase Yasmin K.'s work. The bespoke Bridal Timeline Builder lets prospective brides interactively plan their wedding-day hair and makeup schedule — from trial appointments through to the ceremony. A testimonials page and accordion FAQ sections address common bridal booking concerns.
Design Rationale
For a bridal hair specialist servicing weddings across Australia and internationally, the website must function as both portfolio and booking funnel. The design centres on trust-building — showcasing real work, providing structured bridal-specific content, and giving brides an interactive planning tool — because bridal clients research extensively before committing to a stylist for their wedding day.
Build Phase
Site Architecture
// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped YK Hair & Beauty's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for YK Hair & Beauty. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 9 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research covered 8 sources including Google Search, Yellow Pages, Facebook, TrueLocal, Yelp Australia, Google Maps, Hotfrog, and Localsearch. Data completeness was low — most directories were blocked by Cloudflare or CAPTCHA. The key discovery came from the business's existing website (ykhairandbeauty.com.au), which confirmed Yasmin K. as the stylist and the bridal/event specialisation including destination weddings.
