🔧 Plumbing · Grovedale, Melbourne
AK Pipeworks Plumbing prides itself on its high quality and professional work.
Research Phase
Before writing a single line of code, our research agent studied AK Pipeworks Plumbing — their current website, social presence, reviews, team, and services. Here's what stood out.
Operating from Unit 4/32 Essington Street in Grovedale with a 1300 number (1300 780 213) — suggesting a business scaled beyond sole-trader level for the Geelong region
Their domain akpipeworks.com.au currently resolves to geelongplumbingco.com.au content with a TLS mismatch — a significant web identity issue where their brand name leads to a different business's website
Service scope spans five categories: hot water systems, bathroom/kitchen/laundry works, gas work, sewer and stormwater, and general maintenance — confirmed across directory listings and Facebook snippets
Design Phase
Every design decision was intentional — informed by the research, not pulled from a template library.
Visual Direction
A 6-page trade services site with 9 components across home, about, residential, commercial, drainage, and contact pages. The bespoke Maintenance Builder interactive component lets homeowners configure a maintenance checklist — a practical lead-generation tool. The floating CTA ensures emergency plumbing enquiries are always one tap away.
Design Rationale
AK Pipeworks has a broken web presence — their domain redirects to a competitor's site. This design gives them a clean, owned identity with dedicated pages for their core service verticals (residential, commercial, drainage). The Maintenance Builder turns passive browsers into engaged leads by helping homeowners think through their plumbing needs, while the floating CTA captures the urgent 'burst pipe at 10pm' enquiries that drive plumbing revenue.
Build Phase
Site Architecture
// Next.js App Router
Methodology
Spark (research agent) scraped AK Pipeworks Plumbing's current website, Google reviews, social media, and business listings. Every piece of real data — team names, service pricing, business hours, unique details — was extracted into a structured profile.
Based on the research, a bespoke design direction was created specifically for AK Pipeworks Plumbing. No templates — the typography, color palette, layout patterns, and visual effects were all chosen to match this business's personality and industry.
Pixel (design agent) built the entire 6-page Next.js application from scratch — 9 custom components, real content from the research phase, App Router with proper routing, and production-grade code.
Sentinel (QA agent) verified the build compiles cleanly, checked for placeholder content, validated all routes render correctly, and confirmed the design is unique (not recycled from another demo).
Additional Notes
Research checked 8 sources but achieved low data completeness. The primary challenge was that akpipeworks.com.au presents a TLS mismatch and resolves to geelongplumbingco.com.au content, so service data from that domain could not be confidently attributed to AK Pipeworks. Directory listings (Infobel, DuckDuckGo snippets) confirmed address and hours. Facebook snippets provided service category confirmation. Brave Search API quota was exceeded during research.
